Snow and Ice Service Addendum
Words in square brackets are filled in for each order on its review, where you see the values before you approve them.
1. Service trigger. Service begins when [measured accumulation / customer request / route declaration] occurs at the property, subject to storm conditions, government restrictions, route access, and crew safety. Measurement method and trigger location must be stated in the Service Order.
2. Scope. The included surfaces are [driveway / walkway / entrance / loading area]. Relocation or hauling, roof snow, hand work, salting, deicing, and return visits are excluded unless listed.
3. Timing. Storm operations are route-based and do not guarantee completion by a particular hour unless expressly contracted. Continuous snowfall, municipal plowing, drifting, parked vehicles, and refreeze may require additional billable visits when the Service Order provides for them.
4. Surface conditions and slip risk. Snow and ice service reduces but cannot eliminate slippery conditions. Customer remains responsible for monitoring the property, restricting unsafe areas, and promptly reporting known hazards. Deicer performance varies with temperature, precipitation, traffic, and surface.
5. Damage. Customer will mark curbs, drains, decorative edges, low walls, irrigation, speed bumps, and fragile surfaces. Rotuk is not responsible for damage to hidden, unmarked, deteriorated, or improperly installed features absent a failure to use reasonable care.
6. Tax and price. Snow-removal and related line items must use the current Minnesota tax classification for the exact service. Do not reuse lawn-maintenance tax codes. Per-event, trigger, hourly, and seasonal billing must be explicit.
