Invoicing
Exemption certificates are held on file and applied per invoice line, with expiry tracked, so an exempt organisation is not paying sales tax it does not owe and the certificate does not quietly lapse.
The part people get wrong
Volunteers. Much of the grounds work is already done by members, so the scope is written around what they are not doing rather than duplicating it and charging for both.
